Assertiveness Training (CURRENTLY ON-HOLD)

Assertiveness training is a 12 week training group designed for adults with an acquired brain injury to deal more effectively with difficult interpersonal situations. Participants will learn how to improve their communication skills, so that they can express their thoughts and feelings more clearly, calmly and effectively. They will also learn to cope better with strong emotions that may arise from difficult interpersonal situations. The group aims to create a safe space and will include group discussion, role plays and relaxation training. No cost for those qualifying for subsidy.
